BREAKING: Makinde Wins By A Landslide As INEC Declares Winner of Oyo Guber Poll(Full Records)-Eaglesightnews

‘Seyi Makinde, the incumbent State Governor of Oyo State has been declared winner of the 2023 Guber election in the state.

This has made another history occurred in the state as the former Governor, Abiola Ajimobi broke history to have become the first governor to serve the state twice in the same vein, Seyi Makinde has become second governor to rule the state twice.

He overwhelmingly defeated two other contenders to clinch victory in a keenly-contested election.

The Returning Officer, who is the Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University
Prof Adebayo Simeon Bamire announced the result on Sunday in Ibadan, the state capital for the election .

According to him, Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party got a total of 563,756 votes beating Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress who got 256,685 votes and Adelabu of Accord Party who got 38000 votes.

These are the results as of the pressing time, Makinde had won 31 out of the 33 local governments in the state leaving Folarin with only two and Adelabu with none.
