Just In: LAUTECH Gets River State Monarch HRM Ohna Sergeant As New Chancellor-Oyo Govt

Eagle’s Sight News gathers that Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) has gotten a new chancellor. This is made known by Oyo State Executive Council (ExCo) after the State ExCo meeting held on Tuesday, 4th of April 4, 2023.

Eagle’s Sight News recalls that Oyo State Governor,Seyi Makinde took full ownership of the institution for the state in 2020 after meeting the agreement between the state and Osun state. The institution has since then becomes one of the fast growing institution in Nigeria.

This medium understands that the appointment of HRM Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, Paramount Ruler of Emuoha Kingdom, as the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), was disclosed by Commissioner of information, tourism and culture , Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun.

The Rivers monarch will be replacing the former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu who was appointed the Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho in 2012. 

This appointment is expected to take immediate effect.

The institution will gained from the top notch experience of monarch who has been an administrator, community leader and a revered traditional ruler.
