Nigerian Controversial Singer, Portable Arraigned in Ogun over Assault
Abeokuta, Ogun State – Eagles Sight News reports that Nigerian Controversial Singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been arraigned at the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
This follows his surrender to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department.
The charges against Portable are linked to an incident on February 5, 2025, involving officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development. The officials were injured during an enforcement exercise at Portable’s bar in Sango Ota.
Nine of Portable’s associates were arrested, but the musician evaded capture until his recent surrender. Portable gained fame with his 2021 hit single “ZaZoo Zehh,” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee.
However, his career has been marred by controversy, including public disputes and allegations of violent behavior. The Ogun State Government has condemned Portable’s actions, describing him as a “serial dissident and unrepentant rascal.” The government emphasized its commitment to upholding the law and addressing such behavior.
