Further to his statement, he said he decided to leave PDP to pursue his political ambition in a political party where all aspirants get equal rights.
As contained in the letter,
Letter Of Resignation From Oyo State People Democratic Party, PDP.
“I, Ibrahim Olanrewaju Ajiboye ( Omo Iya Eleja ), a pioneer and a card-carrying member of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state hereby tender my resignation from the party, effective from today, Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022
“PDP has been my only political party since her inception years ago and I have always put in my physical effort, strength, and financial resources for the progress of the party.
“But the current autocratic style of leadership and undemocratic actions in the party had made me realize that the party leadership only wants me to serve the party but is not interested in protecting my interest.
With this, I have concluded that my continued stay in PDP is untenable, therefore I announce the withdrawal of my membership from the party.
“It is an honor working with many party chieftains, leaders whom I shared the PDP platform with for the entire period I was in the party as a party man and as an aspirant.
“Thanks for your understanding,
“Ibrahim Olanrewaju Ajiboye( Ómò Iya Èlèja)
Ibadan Northeast,
Oyo state.”
