PALM SUNDAY:Oyo Lawmaker, Comforter Honors Christians With Prayers As 40-Day Lent Ends This Week
The incumbent lawmaker representing Ibadan North constituency1, Hon Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi Olajide has commemorated christians home and and abroad as the 40 days lent ends this week March 28 and as they get set for the occasion of Easter.
Comforter according to a note made available to eaglessightnews revealed the connection of the 40 days lent to the ministry, life death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The lawmaker also prayed that the fasting and prayers will not go in vain and God accepts the sacrifice.
In her full words,
“I congratulate Christians all over the world on the occasion of this year’s PALM SUNDAY. It marks the end of the 40-Day Lenten Period.
“It also marks the commemoration of our Saviour Jesus Christ’s grand entry into Jerusalem thus beginning the Holy Week which culminated in his death, burial, resurrection and ascension into heaven.
“People in their scores, dozens and gross numbers welcomed him as he rode in a mule, by laying their clothes and palm fronds, shouting “HOSSANA IN THE HIGHEST…”
“May the fasting that we observed this year and the subsequent prayers not go in vain in our lives in Jesus Name. Amen.”
