Oyo Council Bosses have started swearing in the newly appointed supervisory councilors and special assistants  in the local governments as approved by the state governor. Seyi Makinde.

This is coming days after Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde  approved the  appointment of 160 new Supervisory Councilors and Special Assistants across all 33 local government areas in the state. This includes persons living with disabilities (PLWD), Eagles Sight News earlier reported

According to a report made available to our medium , Oluyole Local Government Chairman,  Engr. Akeem Olatunji, officially sworn in a new set of appointed supervisory councilors and Special Assistants to oversee some sectors within the local government.

The swearing in ceremony, held on Friday, January 3, at the council secretariat in Idi-Ayunre.

In his address before swearing in the new appointees, Olatunji stressed the importance of the newly inaugurated councilors in driving the local government’s vision of growth and inclusivity. He urged them to approach their roles with dedication, transparency, and accountability.

While urging the new appointees to see their appointments as a call to service, Olatunji called for deepened collaborations, synergy and strategic partnership that would accelerate the actualization of his administration’s vision for Oluyole local government.

“You are now an integral part of this administration, and the people of Oluyole expect nothing less than your best efforts to ensure progress in all sectors.

“Together, we must prioritize initiatives that will improve the standard of living for our people and justify the confidence reposed in you.

” You all know what our leader and mentor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde embodies as a visionary leader with unrelenting dedication and commitment to the well-being of the masses.

“To whom much is given more is expected therefore, whatever you do, ensure it is in the best interest of our people and promotion of good governance particularly at the grassroots, and you can be assured of my continued support at all times,” Olatunji said.

The newly sworn-in supervisory councilors as well as the Special Assistants are as follows:

The ceremony was attended by the vice chairman, Hon. Niyi Akorede, Leader of Oluyole LG Legislature, Hon. Taofeeq Azeez, top local government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and party stakeholders, all of whom expressed optimism about the councilors’ capacity to deliver on their mandates.

Olatunji charged the new appointees to hit the ground running as they begin implementing the administration’s agenda for the local government.

Similarly ,In Ibadan North, Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has officially sworn in newly appointed supervisory councilors and special assistants.

The ceremony took place  at the council secretariat in his office.

Eagles Sight News reports that  Olufade remarks emphasized on importance of diligent service and urged the new appointees to work tirelessly for the development of Ibadan North Local Government and Oyo State.

He advised them to view their appointments not as opportunities for personal gain but as a call to serve humanity and contribute to the growth of the local government and the state.

Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade also expressed his gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State for his commitment to human and youth development.

He noted that the new appointments would enhance the council’s ability to deliver services more efficiently to the people of Ibadan North Local Government.

The oath of office was administered by Mr. Akeem Olatunji, Head of Local Government Administration, while the Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Akeem Ayoade, issued the appointment letters to the new appointees.
