Oyo Remains One of the Safest States to Stay – Makinde, DG OYSIPA Tell Investors at Special Dinner

In a bid to attract more investments to the state, the Oyo State Government has reiterated its commitment to providing a secure and enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

This assurance was given at a dinner event organized by the Oyo State Investment and Public Private Partnership Agency (OYSIPA), held yesterday 18th of December, 2024 at Golden Tulip in Ibadan.

Eagles’s Sights News reports that the dinner hosted for organized private sector brought together government appointees, dignitaries, investors, and business moguls from around the world.

According to the Director-General of OYSIPA, Mr. Folami Olatilewa, the dinner aimed to engage with investors and showcase the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration.
Tilewa emphasized the importance of partnering with investors, who are considered partners in progress, to invest and remain in Oyo State.

Oyo State Remains One the Safest State

When asked about security assurances , Olatilewa confidently stated to Eagles’s Sight News that Oyo State remains one of the safest states to do business. He attributed this to Governor Makinde’s significant investments in security and infrastructure, including the provision of numerous vehicles and security equipment for the state’s security sectors.

Additionally, Olatilewa highlighted the construction of many roads across the state, ensuring an enabling environment and adequate security for investors.

In his remarks, Oyo State Governor , Engr Makinde, who was the special guest of honour, represented by his deputy, Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal, emphasized that Oyo State is open for business. The Governor highlighted the state’s vast resources and investment opportunities in agriculture, solid minerals, tourism, and culture. He assured potential investors that the state government is committed to providing an enabling environment for businesses to succeed.

Lawal noted that Oyo State has made significant strides in agriculture, with the recent commissioning of farm settlements in Eruwa and Fashola. He encouraged investors to tap into the state’s virgin land and invest in estate development, agriculture, and other sectors.

The Deputy Governor also emphasized the importance of investing in land, stating that the government is ready to provide support for investors. He assured that Oyo State is one of the safest states in the country, making it an attractive destination for investors.

The event was attended by investors, government officials, and other stakeholders.

The Director-General of OYSIPA, Tilewa Folami, commended the Governor for his efforts in promoting investment in the state.
