A senior lecturer at the Faculty of Management, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Dr. Samuel Ojogbo, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old female student of the institution.
According to information gathered by Eagles Sight News on Tribune online, the university confirmed the allegation yesterday. The report reveals that a 300-level student (name withheld) allegedly said the lecturer reportedly invited her into his office on 22 August 2025 around 12:00 noon, where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
The student reported the incident to the police on 28 August 2025 and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
UNILAG’s management stated that it is aware of the allegation and confirmed that the police are handling the case. The university’s Safeguarding Centre is also providing support to the student.
Confirming the matter, UNILAG spokesperson Mrs. Adejoke Alaga-Ibraheem said a university panel has begun investigating the allegation, and its findings will be made public once the investigation is completed.
Alaga-Ibraheem assured the public that the university will conduct a thorough investigation and uphold justice for all parties involved. She reiterated UNILAG’s zero-tolerance policy on sexual harassment, urging students and staff to report any form of harassment or misconduct through the institution’s designated offices.
