There have been several reports that Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will be obtaining his presidencial nomination and expression of interest form today Eagle’s News has learned
There have also been reports that several supporters ,group have raise millions of naira to purchase the form for the vice president as their solidarity supports.
Following the several reports, a recent news gathered from sources including including Intel region has affirm that the Vice President has finally obtained the N100,000,000 presidential form of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This validate him as one of the contestants that will be participating in the APC presidential primaries that is scheduled to hold later in May, 2022.
Sources stated that the form was picked on behalf of the Vice President at the party’s sales center in Abuja by Senator Kabiru Gaya, a lawmaker representing Kano South and the Coordinator of Osinbajo Support Groups.
Recall Professor Osinbajo who has served as Vice President since 2015 had earlier declared intentions to run for the post of President on Monday 11th of April, 2022.
There have been several criticisms face by the intention of Osinbajo from supporters of the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who had declared interest in becoming the president since January 2022.
Tinubu’s supporters, has expressed their dissasfactions on the Vice President’s declaration, stating that it is a betrayal of trust to Tinubu who was said to have nominated him as Vice President in 2015.
While news men were speaking to Tinubu about his thoughts on Osinbajo’s declaration, describing Osinbajo as his son, Tinubu replied that he has no son grown up enough to make such declaration.
Osinbajo on the other hand has since begun campaigns across the country to canvass APC delegates to support his ambition. In his declaration speech, he promised to complete President Buhari’s promise of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty by 2030.
