A source revealed to Eaglessightnews that Folarin , APC may risk their participation in 2023 general election. Eaglessightnews reports.
According to the source, there’s a litigation against Oyo APC on why they can’t participate in next general elections because the National Caretaker Committee headed by Governor Buni contravene the 1999 constitution.
As contained in a copy of suit attachment sent to this medium, it reveals that the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has dragged APC to court seeking for judicial interpretation over the allegation against Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the national Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Sen. Teslim Kolawole Folarin, the APC Governorship candidate in Oyo State over the legality of Governor Buni presiding over the party and consequently the congresses conducted by the party.
According to a detailed report gathered from South-West Ngr, the Election that brought Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa State, as the National APC Chairman was undemocratic.
Adding that, the caretaker and the convention planning committee set up by APC was not in line with the electoral act.
According to the report, the Election was headed by a sitting Governor. Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State.
He further stated that, Independent national electoral commission should exclude all the candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) from the 2023 General Elections in Oyo State.
The sitting was held at the Federal High Court, Ibadan.
