Oyo south senatorial candidate of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide Odidiomo, has formally unveiled Prince Seun Moronfolu Adelore as the Director General of the Odidiomo Campaign Organization, in what he described as a strategic move to strengthen his political structure ahead of the 2027 general election.

The unveiling, held on friday morning, came days after the lawmaker formally conveyed the appointment in a personally signed letter, appointing the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain to lead his senatorial campaign across the nine local government areas of Oyo south senatorial district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Olajide said the appointment of Adelore was carefully considered and in line with his determination to assemble an experienced and disciplined campaign team capable of delivering victory for the Allied Peoples’ Movement.

According to him, Adelore’s political experience, proven leadership, organizational competence and longstanding commitment to grassroots mobilization distinguished him for the responsibility.

He added that the Director General would provide strategic leadership for the campaign organization, co-ordinate campaign committees, mobilize stakeholders, promote party unity and ensure the effective implementation of the campaign’s objectives throughout Oyo south.

The APM senatorial candidate said the campaign would be anchored on the principles of integrity, service, accountability, inclusion and responsible leadership, stressing that the movement was committed to earning the confidence of the electorate through issue based engagement and programmes. He expressed confidence that Adelore would discharge his assignment with commitment, wisdom and fairness while building a united campaign structure capable of accommodating every interest within the party.

Olajide maintained that the appointment marked the beginning of a more coordinated political engagement as preparations for the 2027 election gather momentum across the district.

In his acceptance speech, Prince Adelore expressed his appreciation to Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide for the confidence reposed in him, describing the appointment as both a great honour and a solemn responsibility. He said his decision to accept the position was informed by his conviction that Odidiomo possesses the character, capacity and leadership qualities required to provide effective representation for the people of Oyo south in the senate. He pledged to deploy his political experience and organizational skills to build a formidable campaign machinery that would unite party members, expand the party’s support base and secure victory for the Allied Peoples’ Movement at the polls.

Adelore further assured party leaders, youths, women, support groups and other stakeholders that the campaign organization would operate an open door policy built on consultation, inclusiveness and mutual respect. He promised to immediately commence consultations across the nine local government areas of Oyo south senatorial district with a view to harmonizing existing political structures and ensuring that every segment of the campaign worked towards a common objective. He also appealed to party members to remain united, disciplined and focused on achieving electoral success in 2027.

Prince Seun Moronfolu Adelore, an experienced grassroots politican in Oyo state, had previously served as chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North local government and later as chairman of the forum of the 33 PDP local government chairmen during Governor Seyi Makinde’s first term in office. He also played a key role in grassroots mobilization during the 2019 governorship election and was a one time chairman, Oyo state waste management agency.
