In a renewed demonstration of commitment to strengthening security and deepening collaboration among security agencies, the Member representing Ibadan North Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Dr. Chief Mrs. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide (AKONI ODU’A HEROINE), paid courtesy visits to the Bodija Police Division and the Oyo State Amotekun Corps Office, Bodija, a facility she built and commissioned on February 14, 2026.
During her visit to the Police Division, Hon. Comforter donated a power generator to support the officers in the effective discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, particularly during power outages. She reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to ensuring a safer and more secure Ibadan North through continuous support to security institutions.
The lawmaker commended the officers and personnel of both the Nigeria Police Force and the Oyo State Amotekun Corps for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifices in protecting lives and property. She encouraged them to remain resolute and committed to their noble duty of maintaining peace, law, and order.
Also present during the visit was the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade (ONALA), who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Mustapha Hammid, alongside the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Mr. Olabode. On behalf of the Chairman, a motorcycle was presented to the Oyo State Amotekun Corps at Alagbagba Community, Bodija, to strengthen their operational capacity and enhance rapid response to security challenges within the local government.
Speaking on behalf of the security agencies, the Divisional Police Officer, Ashi Police Division, CSP Ojo Bami Immanuel Borisanmi, and the Commander of the Oyo State Amotekun Corps, Alagbagba Community Division, Mr. Shuaib Azeez, expressed profound appreciation for the generous donations.
They described the donations as timely and impactful, assuring the benefactors of their continued dedication to safeguarding lives and property.
The courtesy visits further underscored the unwavering commitment of Hon. Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide and Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade to supporting security agencies and promoting a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Ibadan North.
