Oyo Police Confirm Three Arrested In Oyo With Dismembered Human

Oyo State Police Command has on Monday confirmed arrest of three persons with dismembered human parts.

The state Police Public Relations Officer SP Adewale Osifeso through a press statement made available to journalists confirmed the names of the arrested culprits as Tayo Akinrinola, aged 37; Ramoni Opeyemi, also known as Alubarika, aged 47; Taofeek Olalekan, aged 46.

A copy of the statement obtained made available to  Journalists stated that the Oyo State Police Command wishes to clear the air as regards the incident involving a clergyman in the company of two others in whose possession items suspected to be Human parts were found.

Preliminary investigations reveal that on 16/10/2023 at about 2130hrs, operatives attached to the Command’s Swift Response Squad while on intelligence driven patrols & stop and search duty at Agbarigo junction, Jericho road, Ibadan, encountered and flagged down a Toyota Highlander SUV with Registration number AAA 885 EP occupied by three suspicious looking individuals who were later identified as; Taofeek Olalekan,’m’ 46yrs, Ramon Opeyemi, ‘m’ Age 47yrs and Taiwo Akinrinola Age 37yrs.

While in the process of dutifully searching the vehicle conveying the above individuals, a bag containing items suspected to be human parts were found without any satisfactory explanation as to how they came about either the bag or the items.

The case has been transferred to the Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Iyaganku for forensic details and analysis while efforts are intensified to apprehend other members of the criminal network.
