Inferno Engulfs Popular Ibadan Spare Parts Market , Days after Stampede

Eagles’s Sights News has gathered that a devastating blaze swept through the renowned spare parts market at Gate, Ibadan, Oyo State, in the early hours of Saturday, leaving a trail of destruction and billions of naira in losses.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire, which started around midnight, continued to rage unchecked as emergency responders and local residents struggled to bring the inferno under control.

This latest disaster comes on the heels of a tragic stampede at the Islamic High School in Ibadan, which claimed the lives of over 30 people, plunging the city into mourning.

According to the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services, Akinyemi Akinyinka, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent, “Emergency services are currently battling a severe fire outbreak at Agodi-Gate. We urge water tanker owners to assist us in combating the blaze.” The cause of the fire remains unknown, pending the outcome of ongoing investigations.
