Troops Neutralize 45 Bandits in Niger State, Foil Planned Village Attacks

Joint operatives of the Nigerian Army and hybrid forces, with intelligence from the Department of State Services (DSS), successfully repelled a bandit attack in Iburu village, Shiroro LGA of Niger State on Friday evening, eliminating no fewer than 45 assailants.
Eagles Sight News reports that Security sources revealed that DSS intercepted information about terrorists advancing on motorcycles toward several villages. Troops engaged them in a fierce firefight, killing dozens and destroying multiple motorcycles. Two hybrid operatives were killed, while four others sustained critical injuries.
This development follows earlier warnings in April by the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, who reported increased terrorist activity near the Babanna border, including an ambush on customs officers after a major petrol seizure.
