Oyo Amotekun Patrol Van Razed by Fire in Mokola, Ibadan
A patrol vehicle belonging to the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, was destroyed by fire on Thursday morning in Mokola, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Eagles Sight News has gathered.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. beneath the Mokola flyover while operatives of the corps were on assignment.
According to eyewitnesses, the van suddenly caught fire, sending residents and passersby into panic.
Motorists and pedestrians in the area were said to have made frantic attempts to put out the flames before the Oyo State Fire Service arrived. Unfortunately, the patrol van was completely gutted before help could come.
No casualty was reported as of press time, while the cause of the fire had yet to be ascertained.
