Just In: How Police Shot Nation Reporter,Dispersed Protesters In Osun[Photo]

Eagle’s Sight News gathered that a Reporter with The Nation newspaper identified as Toba Adedeji, has been shot by police personnel deployed to disperse some protesters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

This incident also result to severe injury sustained by a student, whose identity could not be immediately ascertained .

As the incident was narrated by sources, some youths had gathered under Olaiya bridge in Osogbo to protest against an alleged extrajudicial killing of one of them, identified as Abiola.

The protesters barricaded the road and prevented vehicular movement.

Few minutes into the protest, some police operatives stormed the scene and shot into the crowd, injuring the student and journalist covering the protest.

The journalist, who was shot in the thigh, was rushed to Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, for treatment.
