Taoreed Adedigba, the former Chairman of Akinyele Local Government has passed away.Eagles’s Sight News has gathered more evidences.

Earlier , the tragic news was confirmed to Eagles’s Sight News by a close associate who wishes to remain anonymous, and was announced on Thursday evening .

Further findings were also sighted via a disclosure on the demise of the chairman in a Whatsapp group. See Photo

Further to the confirmation of this incident, a statement signed by the Special Adviser to Governor Makinde, Mr Sulaimon Olarenwaju on behalf of the Governor expresses Makinde’s commiseration over the demise of Late , Taoreed Adedigba, the immediate past Local Government Chairman of Akinyele.

The statement also revealed that the former Akinyele Chairman , Taoreed Adedigba died after a brief illness.

Five Things You Need to Know About the Deceased

According to reports Taoreed Adedigba was a former councilor in Akinyele Local Government.

He was appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde in. 2019 as Akinyele Caretaker Chairman.

In 2021 , he vied for the seat of Akinyele Local Government Chairman under the umbrella of People Democratic Party (PDP) and won the primary election and state election conducted by OYSIEC.

It’s worth noting that Adedigba’s tenure as Chairman was marked by controversy, including his suspension and by the Oyo State House of Assembly in July 2023 due to allegations of misconduct and financial embezzlement . However, he was later reinstated after a comprehensive investigation absolved him of the charges .

Adedigba was a vibrant, calm and peaceful soul loved by friends and loved ones during his life time. His fingerprints to the growth and development of Akinyele local government can never be forgotten.
