EU and ECOWAS Launch Short Film Competition for Young Nigerian Filmmakers
Eagles Sight News reports that the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and ECOWAS, in collaboration with the Zuma International Film Festival, have launched a short film competition aimed at filmmakers aged 18–35.
Announced yesterday, the contest calls for short films of up to three minutes focusing on the theme: “Being a Nigerian Youth – Storytelling for Life and Creative Journeys of Nigerian Youth in today’s world.”
The grand prize is ₦1.5 million for the winner, ₦750,000 for the first runner-up, and ₦500,000 for the second runner-up. The top ten entries will be showcased at the Zuma Film Festival, offering networking, mentorship, and exposure to creative industry professionals. (Guardian)
