PDP Governors Warn of Imminent Dictatorship

Eagles Sight News reports that Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have raised alarms that Nigeria is gradually sliding toward a full-blown dictatorship, with increasing abuse of power and citizens living in extreme poverty despite the country’s resources.

The warning came in a statement by the PDP Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, celebrated on Friday in Abuja. Signed by the Forum’s Director General, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, the governors emphasized the urgent need for the nation’s leadership to tackle insecurity, a compromised judicial system, and failed economic policies that have fueled hunger, poverty, and unemployment.

“Let this day be a reminder of the values we should uphold and share — public service with accountability, kindness without expectation, humility, and the pursuit of truth to rebuild the faith of our citizens in our country,” the statement read.

On the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, the PDP Governors extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and worldwide:

“The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum, PDP-GF, under the chairmanship of Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, and Governor of Bauchi State, on behalf of his colleague-governors, extends its warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to the Muslims in Nigeria and indeed globally on this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.
