BREAKING: Hon. Olufunke Comforter Returned as PDP Consensus Candidate for Ibadan North Constituency I

Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniji Olajide, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency I, has been returned as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidate for the constituency.

Her return was affirmed during the party’s consensus meeting, where leaders and stakeholders agreed to retain her to continue representing the constituency.

Hon. Comforter, who also currently serves as Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs and community development, was endorsed based on her legislative performance and contributions to the development of her constituency, particularly in the delivering of massive projects in her Constituency, advocating for women and vulnerable groups.

Party sources noted that the decision reflects confidence in her leadership and a desire for continuity, as stakeholders resolved to present a united front ahead of the forthcoming elections.

In her response, Comforter conveyed sincere gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, party leaders, stakeholders and her constituency for their strong backing and for ensuring a smooth and successful process.
