An Heavy protests have rocked Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo State over the dead of a student in the institution

Confirming the incident, an anonymous source revealed to eaglessightnews that two students on Monday who are siblings of the same institution were allegedly shot by Policeman who was called to settle misunderstanding among folks during an overnight party.

A staff of the Institution and a passerby also confirmed the incident stating that there is currently heavy protest in the environment and residents are in panic as the students have came out in mass and barricade roads in the vicinity.

Another story about the incident also revealed to our medium that Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology (LAUTECH) in the Ogbomoso area of Oyo State has been thrown into chaos as a policeman on Monday reportedly shot a student dead and injured two others.

According to the source ,the incident occurred when the police officer was called to settle a misunderstanding between two people at popular lounge called Replay Lounge, but rather than settle the matter, he shot sporadically into the air and on the process, shot the student dead and injured two others.

Following the incident, there is heavy protest going on in the school as the angry students blocked the school gates demanding justice for the victims.

An X user, @eclat_media247, who posted about the incident said, “All school (LAUTECH) gates locked, according to report, a policeman was called to settle a squash between two people, instead of him to settle the fight or arrest them, he shot sporadically into the air, one student died and two reportedly injured.”

Another X user, @_Bolify who confirmed the incident with a video of the blood of the victim said that the murdered victim was in the school to celebrate his brother’s convocation ceremony.

“A brother that came to celebrate his bro on his convocation ceremony at Lautech yesterday was reportedly shot dead by a police officer yesterday…. Protest is currently going on in the School premises now,” the X user wrote.

Another source said that the police officer was one of the arrow heads of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) officers who allegedly terrorised the students community in LAUTECH in Ogbomoso.

The source said, “The officer in question has his picture all over the Internet during the Endsars saga, he was one of the arrow heads of the disbanded SARS officer who terrorised the students community in LAUTECH Ogbomoso.

“After the EndSars saga one would expect that normalcy would have been restored but instead he was drafted back into the police force and here we are praying for another family for strength to bear the loss of a child who only came to celebrate with his brother on his convocation.”

Another source said, “So how do we explain this, a policeman was called to settle a squash between two people, instead of the law enforcer to settle the fight or arrest them, he shot sporadically into the air and shot two brothers who were not even fighting, One of them is dead and the other is injured.”
