Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has achieved another remarkable feat as Guinness World Records (GWR) officially confirmed her for cooking the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice. Eagles Sight News has gathered.
In an announcement on its official X handle, Guinness World Records stated:
“New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
The recognition followed a spectacular culinary showcase on September 12, 2025, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event, known as the ‘Gino World Jollof Festival’ with Hilda Baci, attracted thousands of participants and created a major buzz across social media platforms.
Baci, who gained global attention in 2023 after setting the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, has once again cemented her place as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated chefs.
The Lagos celebration also drew prominent figures including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, Tomike Adeoye, Pastor Idowu, and Bamidele Abiodun, wife of the Ogun State Governor, who all showed up to support her latest world record attempt.
