Oyo south senatorial aspirant on the platform of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) and member representing Ibadan North-west/Ibadan South-west federal constituency of Oyo state in the House of Representatives, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Stanley Olajide, has felicitated with muslim faithfuls in Oyo state and across Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Olajide Odidiomo, in a goodwill message made available to journalists through his Special Adviser, Media and Public Affairs, Tolu Mustapha, urged muslims to continue to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, compassion and peaceful co-existence as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

The federal lawmaker described Eid-el-Kabir as a season of love, charity and total submission to the will of almighty Allah, stressing the need for Nigerians to remain united and committed to the collective peace and progress of the country.

According to him, the significance of the festival goes beyond celebration, noting that it serves as a reminder of the values of selflessness, humanity and faith, even in difficult times.

Olajide further called on muslim faithfuls to use the occasion to pray for peace, security, economic stability and sustainable development in Oyo state and Nigeria at large. “As we celebrate this sacred festival of Eid-el-Kabir, I urge our muslim brothers and sisters to continue to promote peace, unity, tolerance and love within our communities. This season reminds us of the importance of sacrifice, compassion and service to humanity,” he stated.

The Oyo south senatorial aspirant also appealed to residents to continue to support one another, particularly the less privileged and vulnerable members of society, in the spirit of the celebration.

He noted that the country is presently passing through socio-economic and security challenges requiring collective prayers, responsible leadership and mutual understanding among citizens.

Olajide equally encouraged youths to remain hopeful, law abiding and committed to productive engagements capable of contributing positively to society.

The lawmaker expressed appreciation to the people of Oyo state for their continued support, goodwill and confidence in his leadership over the years, assuring them of his sustained commitment to effective representation, grassroots development and service to humanity and prayed that almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices and acts of worship of muslim faithfuls and bless the land with peace, prosperity and progress.
