“Ibadan Stampede Saddens ” Hon. Biiro Joins Gov Makinde to Commiserate with Victims’ Families
HON. BIIRO JOINS GOV. MAKINDE TO COMMISERATE WITH FAMILIES OF IBADAN STAMPEDE VICTIMS
Hon. Waheed Akanbi Biiro, former chairman of Ibadan North Local Government and aspirant of Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has joined forces with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to commiserate with the families of the children who lost their lives in the tragic stampede in Ibadan.
The tragic incident, which occurred at the Islamic High School Basorun, where an event was being held for families, has claimed the lives of several children.
According to a statement made available to Eagles’ Sight News, Hon. Biiro also extended his condolences to the families of the victims, the Oyo State Government, and the people of Oyo State at large, praying that God gives those affected by this tragic incident fortitude.
Earlier, Governor Makinde had reached out to the families of the victims, offering his condolences and support. The Governor also added that the state has begun a thorough investigation into the incident and that any perpetrator will be held accountable.
According to Hon. Biiro: “This is an unfortunate incident in our state, and I sincerely commiserate with the family of the victims and extend my condolences to the state government. I also join my leader, Governor Makinde, to sympathize with the families of the lost lives and the people of Oyo State at large. I pray that God gives us fortitude at this painful time.”
